Like the Dwaaskill Nature Preserve Our Clifton Park Leaders have been committed to adding Open Spaces.  Our Board is trying to preserve even more open spaces by trying to purchase the Stony Creek Reservoir to preserve it for generations to come. The open space acquisitions allow Our Town to have protected lands and passive recreational opportunities.

Like the Clifton Common Our Clifton Park Leaders continue to improve and expand recreational opportunities for all ages.  Providing Baseball, Soccer & Basketball facilities.  Our Town Ice Arena contract derives profit to our residents, and we recently completed an addition to our Senior Center.  Our Clifton Park leaders are committed to expanding the recreation needs to meet the needs of our residents. 

Safe Community

 

 

 

 

Our Clifton Park is one of the safest communities in New York State.  This is because of a strategic partnership between our town with the NY State Police and Saratoga County Sheriffs Department who provided contracted services.  These agencies work together with our Town Security saving residents from the cost of a traditional police force while keeping us safe.

We were the first Town in New York State to enhance our reverse 911 system with an Emergency Text Alert system.

Our Clifton Park leadership has worked to bring life back to Clifton Park Center bringing Jobs and the sales tax base that allows us to have No Town Property Tax!

Under our leadership Clifton Park has been awarded 2 New York Statewide Smart Growth Awards.  This balance helps preserve our suburban lifestyle while keeping costs low for residents to live in Clifton Park.

Our Clifton Park Leaders have used conservative budgeting that has given us 10 consecutive balanced budgets with a healthy surplus.  While you read press clippings about municipalities who have to raise taxes all over NY State this budgeting philosophy and surplus are protecting residents of Clifton Park from even paying any town property tax.  In the past and even currently some people have criticized our leaders for having this surplus and rainy day fund, but because they did the right thing for Clifton Park we are protected from the current economic downturn. Now that's Leadership!
